Aotea Home Transformation – Reclad & Exterior Upgrade

This project involved a full exterior reclad to upgrade the home’s durability, weather tightness, and overall appearance.

The existing cladding, windows, and doors were removed to expose the timber framing, allowing for inspection and structural bracing upgrades where required. A new rigid air barrier and cavity system were installed to meet current building standards and improve moisture control.

New window and door reveals were fitted to suit the cavity system, along with updated flashings for long-term performance. The home was then reclad in A-lign bevel-back weatherboards, with boxed corners and detailed window finishes creating a clean, modern look.

Soffits were replaced, drainage was improved with new channel drains and concrete reinstatement, and the entire exterior was professionally painted using Resene products, including interior window finishes.

The result is a weathertight, low-maintenance home with a high-quality finish built to last.
